DUO Plan - New UI on Mobile App

I need to figure out how to change the home page on my account. I recently upgraded my account to DUO, but now the app has updated to this terrible unfriendly user interface. When I had the grid, I could choose between several different options. Now, a random video plays at me and I can't see the options I had before.

Now, I open the app I experience dissatisfaction and frustration. I listen to music to relax. Now I have to take time out my day to create an account on here to figure out how to remove this horrible feature from my home page.

If this cannot be done, I will be forced to cancel my subscription and switch to Apple, Tidal, or another streaming service.

Hi there, I understand your frustration. Here's how you can change the home page on your Spotify account:

Open the Spotify app on your device.
Tap on the "Home" tab at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the current home page.
If you don't like the current home page, you can try scrolling down to see if there are any options to customize it.
If you still can't find what you're looking for, tap on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Under the "Home" section, you should see an option called "Show Recently Played" or "Start with Recommended" or similar, which determines what you see on the home screen. Tap on this option to select a different one.
You can choose between options such as "Recently Played," "Your Library," or "Search."
Once you've selected your preferred home screen option, close the settings menu by tapping on the "X" in the top left corner.

I followed steps 1-3, no dice.

Steps 4, 5, and 6 are not possible based on options after clicking gear.

Hey @shonfromla

The home screen design is an ongoing experiment by Spotify. There is currently no way to opt-out or return back to the previous layout.

Check out this thread to provide feedback.

It is possible that Spotify will scrap this UI design. Many (and I mean tons of) users have complained about it.

In March, Spotify replaced the heart icon with a plus in the Now Playing view in the Spotify mobile app. This change will come to other devices at a later time.
