Hey guys, I'm kinda late to the game and just learned that streams on private session don't count towards the artist's streams... I knew that it didn't count for Spotify wrapped but I had no idea that it didn't count for the artist's stats either ( this is so sad because I had no idea for 3 years). I wanted to ask whether turning off listening activity will do the same thing as a private session? I usually stream my favorite artists music for charts and stuff and I don't want all my friends to see me on my main account streaming the same song 20 times a day lol. I also wanted to ask whether turning off listening activity will still count towards Spotify wrapped? I know it still affects the algorithm in terms of personalized playlists and recommendations so I guess I'm just confused on the reach of private session vs. turning off listening activity vs. listening normally activity on.
