Hi,

I downloaded Spotify for the iPhone. I logged in through Facebook connect and I explicitly told it I don't want to share any information with anybody. Immediately after I logged in, many of my Facebook friends alerted me to an email they got saying I've joined Spotify.

Then I started getting emails about other people joining Spotify. During the sign up process I was never told I would recieve emails or given the option to opt out. I assumed that logging in with Facebook and telling it to not post on my behalf would include not emailing my Facebook friends. I was mistaken.

Yes, there is an accounts page that you can customize your email settings. But these are opt in by default and there's no way to opt-out during the sign up process. Judging by the people who've complained that they've recieved the email, I bet most people don't even *know* they have an accounts page.

Anyway, this is just turning a large rant because I'm unhappy. Please don't opt customers in on emails when they sign up, or at the very least, give them the option not to recieve emails when they sign up.

Hi i have got premium i literally do not want it and have 0 plans of paying for it how do i opt out i must have done it through phone or something why havent i been notified about the changes

@EzraJones - If you haven't entered any billing details, you are most likely on a 48 hour or 7 day free premium trial. Don't worry, once the trial ends your account will simply revert to the free service.
