Yes, VAT is part of the subscription fee if you live in an EU country. If you pay by credit card, you get a receipt on your email that says how much VAT you have paid.

For the second question, someone from Spotify needs to answer. Why do you not have to pay VAT?

how can we have the invoice and not the receipt. In the receipt there is no indicated our VAT NUMBER. We got 3 Shops and We need invoice to take the cost and VAT back. Why spotifuggle do not give the possibility to have invoice instead of the receipt??

Thanks for that We have had spotify for almost 18 months not claimed back VAT since as i couldn't find VAT receipts

You can't claim back the VAT for Spotify as far as I am aware since it is only licensed for personal usage. Any public playback like in a shop or workplace is actually against the terms of service as far as I am aware.

Although only available in Sweden currently, Soundtrack for your Brand is really what you need if you are using Spotify in a commercial environment:

Hello,

the VAT amount used to show on my Spotify Premium receipts up until september 2014 and is now gone.

It just mentions "including taxes". Why would you change that ? Please allow me to get the full detail concerning VAT on my receipts or invoices. This should not be happenning.
