Wrong Facebook person on my spotify account

Well, way back i merged MY facebook account with MY spotify account, but now i actually noticed that its not my facebook account linked to my spotify account. Is there a way to change that? this is just ridiculous

Hey afromongo, welcome to the Community.

This can happen if your browser was logged into another person's Facebook account when you connected your Spotify account to Facebook.

This should fix it:
1. Disconnect your Spotify account from Facebook.
You can do this in your Spotify Preferences (Spotify » Preferences in Mac and Edit » Preferences in Windows)
2. Exit Spotify.
3. Log in to your Facebook account in your web browser.
4. Run Spotify again and reconnect to Facebook.

Does this help? Please also make sure you're signing in with your actual username, rather than an email address.

I'm having this exact problem too. I can't get into my Spotify preferences to unlink the 'wrong' Facebook account as every time I try to open the preferences, the ap crashes!! Any ideas?

Hello. I'm having the same issue. My spotify is linked to my ex boyfriend's account. I have "disconnected from facebook" twice left it both times more than 24 hours. "Connected to facebook" again but still it appears as my ex boyfriend's account. Online spotify (not through the programme on Windows) shows my facebook but my spotify.exe does not.

Please disconnect as it's highly irritating that I see him and everything posts to his account.

It sounds like your account is now linked to the correct facebook. Unfortunately it can take a couple of days or so for the details shown in the desktop client to update. Reinstalling can sometimes help but, other than that, it's just a case of waiting.
