I experience the same with the album Canto Ostinato of Sandra and Jeroen van Veen. It was ok till today. Now only two of the 25 tracks are available for play back. The other tracs are either greyed out (windows) or not shown (IOS). I had made the album offline available, but it is just gone, except for the two tracks... Do things like this occur more often in spotify? It makes me look for an alternative...

Can anyone answer why part of an album would suddenly become unavailable.

The album in question is Queen: We Will Rock You: Cast Album.

I added this album as a playlist around ayear ago and haven't had any issues listening to it. Then around 4 months ago, all tracks apart from Bohemian Rhapsody suddenly became unavailable. If the rights were lost why has the whole album not become unavailable and not leaving just that one track.

Any explanation would be gratefully received.

Hi David,

Thanks for that. Yes I can see all tracks available on that album, however these are not the songs from the Musical, just the Queen songs based on the musical. The tracks from the musical are adaptations from the original Queen hits.

If you look at the Cast Album you should see that Bohemian Rhapsody is available yet the others aren't. This track is taken from the musical and not that of the original queen song. Home this makes sense.

Hmm, there is a new album now with the same name. All songs are consolidated into one track. In this case that makes sense because it is one classical performance and accidental suffle of the tracks was not a good idea.. So it is kind of improvement actually, not sure if it was intented 😛 but hey, count your blessings 🙂
