topic Puerto Rico vs. Spotify Free in Archived content

I've been a free user of Spotify -- as have many of my friends -- here in Puerto Rico for some time. None of us have had an issue playing music as a free user until recently, I get an error message saying that my 14 days for listening abroad have ended. I read a couple board posts implying that there is "currently" an issue with licensing to US territories -- is this a new or temporary issue?

I understand I can join Spotify Premium and then I'll be able to "travel" unlimited... but I'm just curious why the change (if it was a change), and whether or not it will be resolved soon?

I'm a big fan of Spotify, and would like to use it over the alternatives -- but Pandora and now, Rdio, don't experience this problem.

Just looking for some context, thanks!
