If you are using the Spotify Android app, be aware of a terrible bug that will cause your data usage to go very high. The Android app is mysteriously sending information all the time and it has caused me to get a gigabyte of usage in one day. I haven't been premium for a month so I don't know if it's fixed but forum users are saying it is not fixed.

This problem should not be present on iPhone, Windows Phone or Symbian.

Went to pay my cell bill yesterday and I was ten Gigs over my Limit. I listen to the radio while riding. I like the service but can't afford that every month. What is the best way use it without going over 2Gig limit?

Hey,

Best solution is Unlimited internet if available. I use Unlimited Internet on my Android Spotify for example.

If you would like to use Spotify without hassle with your carrier, upgrade to Premium and download songs you like in playlist to your phone. Then you can listen your playlist without Internet. Downloading via Wifi.

If you want to listen Radio on Spotify, go to settings and check lower quality, for example 96 kbps. Less quality, less data usage. 🙂
