Hi all,

I'm on spotify for a day now, and I have a quation.

I've a premium account, and I want to download some songs. now, when I'm clicking at download a pop-up screen appears:

do you want to buy this songs?

do I've to pay again fot this song? or is the purchase included in a premium account?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

The download option you are referring to is part of the Spotify downloads store, which you can use if you want to download a track as an mp3 for use outside of Spotify, you need to pay for those tracks individually.

With your premium membership, you can move tracks into a playlist and then mark that playlist as available offline, which will download the tracks inside Spotify meaning you can listen to them without an internet connection which is included in the premium subscription plan.

Can you download music to your computer on Spotify? Or are you only able to make songs available offline in Spotify to listen to?

I assumed the Premium membership included unlimited downloads

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

You can only make playlists available for offline listening inside the Spotify client.

Spotify premium does not give you access to mp3 downloads (or any other kind of downloads) which you can take and use outside of the Spotify ecosystem since it is a streaming service.

If that was possible, there would be nothing to stop you from paying for 1 month, downloading the whole catalogue and then cancelling and walking away with a massive collection of music for 1 month of premium cost.

Ok, so here's my question. I just got premium....and I'm interested in buying a song from time to time....but i don't see a buying option next to any songs im listening to. My profile now says "Premium Account".....but i don't see any buying options. Please...somebody HELP me!!!!

Hi. Spotify removed their download Store a whie ago so it's not possible to purchase music from them at the moment.
