To my knowledge Spotify free has always had the adverts no matter how old your account is.

Accounts older than 6 months may also have additional restrictions, depending on your country which you can read about here.

Recently someone else was using my account, So I posted in the thread and had all devices logged out.

Now, after I logged back in, I have all this advertising between every 1 or 2 songs, ads all over the place. I came here to resolve one issue, not fix one and have to deal with a new one. I know it wasn't a automatic update, because I log out a lot.

And I'd like to personally thank whoever enacted this update when I simply asked to be logged out, it put my job in jeopardy. Music = Ok, Ad playing and boss thinks you're watching TV = Not Ok

Hey 🙂

Are you on Spotify free or do you have a subscription?

Being logged out of all devices would have no effect on your client listening experience.

If you are on Spotify free, adverts in the client as well as audible adverts are expected behaviour when using the service. If you have a subscription, then maybe you have accidentally logged into a different account? First thing to do in that case is to check your subscription status on your online overview.
