Using spotify outside the us

Ok, so I know that after 14 days outside the US I won't be able to use spotify anymore. I'm staying in south America for 5 months, so I want to know if:

1. Can I get a 30 day free trial for the premium account whilst on South America and with a South American credit card?

2. After my free trial ends, can I cancel my premium account from South America?

I think I read somewhere else that I had to have upgraded to premium already in the US before I came here, so I can't upgrade from south america anymore? So it's basically goodbye spotify for 5 months? :'(

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

You should still be able to subscribe if you have a US payment method.

For this to work, your profile country in your online profile needs to be set to the USA still, and then you can subscribe using a US credit or debit card. If you don't have a US credit card, then you won't be able to subscribe I am afraid.

If you have any issues with setting your country in your profile, get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hey Peter. I want to use my Spotify Premium account I set up in the USA. I have a synced library of music I would like to access while traveling to Mexico and Peru. When I travel I will probably not have access to WIFI on my Samsung Galaxy iii. I have no problem playing synced music offline in the USA. Will I be able to access my synced music on my phone internationally, in Peru and Mexico?
