im new to spotify i have unlimited subscription but i cant download anything or buy any downloads

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

The downloads store has been removed from Spotify, have a read at this help page that is why you are unable to buy new download credits. Currently, I would suggest if you wish to download tracks you look for an alternative source.

Your Spotify unlimited subscription is unaffected by the downloads store, and you are free to stream as much content on the desktop application as you like 🙂

hi thanks for your advice, ive upgraded it now to premium but this sees pointless if i cant download.

ithought with premium you had unlimied download do i have this right ?

You have unlimited streaming which allows you to play as many tracks as you want from the Spotify client, as well as the mobile client.

You can also download tracks to play without an internet connection in the Spotify client(s).

As Liam said above, you have unlimited streaming and other benefits.

No Spotify subscription plan gives you the right to download tracks as mp3's to your computer if that is what you are looking for. Spotify is used for streaming, not downloading.
