Playlist not syncing between different computers

I have Spotify on two different PCs. Recently I created a playlist on one PC, but then added and rearranged songs on my other PC later. Now my changes aren't showing up or syncing between both PCs! A little help here pleaaase?

I'm having a similar problem lately where playlists wont sync on a different computer, the mobile app, or web app. It's a coin flip in terms of what syncs and what doesnt. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem.

For example, my Classic Soul playlist has about 1900 songs on my home computer, but only about 1100 on my work computer. Also the 1100 on my work computer include tons of duplicates, whereas the 1900 on my home computer are duplicate free.

I kept thinking that they would eventually sync up, but it's been over a week and doesn't seem to be happening.

Hey guys 🙂

Can you try copying the tracks from a playlist that is not working, into a new playlist on your computer, copying a maximum of 331 tracks at a time? There appears to be an issue with playlist synching on the desktop client with the Spotify servers when you go over that limit. It has been reported as an issue internally by Spotify.

I would suggest you try copying them over in batches of 100 and see how that goes! I know its a pain, but it appears to be a work around for the current playlist syncing issues.

I tried copying a few at a time but got no sync. I have ~1600 tracks in the playlist.

Strange, just opened it in my desktop client and I can confirm it shows and plays 1,642 tracks.

That is quite a large playlist, if you are trying to open it on a mobile device it might take a while to pull down all of the track data, but the playlist must be correct on the Spotify servers.

I know it's been years but some migh still end up here trying to solve that problem - and I MAY HAVE FOUND A FIX!

DETAILS:

I have an iMac in which I've made some playlists and playlist folders on Spotify. It was working well and I could play them fine on my cellphone, I even downloaded them on my phone to carry some around offline - that was my purpose in getting Premium. However, when I got to my PC notebook, the playlists weren't there on the Spotify client anymore. I looked for solutions, found this old message board... and then I suddenly figured something out by myself.

SOLUTION:

Since my cellphone had the Spotify app perfectly synced with my iMac's Spotify client playlists, I opened Spotify on the PC and then also at the cellphone simultaneously. My phone detected Spotify was also opened on a computer and I chose one of the playlists I had made before on the iMac, via the cellphone app. This makes the computer remotely play what's on the phone app - and then, suddenly, my playlists and playlist folders showed up in the computer just as they where in the Spotify app!

That is:

- Make sure you've synced your Spotify phone app with the computer in which the playlists were made.

- Open the Spotify client on another computer.

- Then, use your Spotify phone app to remotely play a playlist on this other computer.

- The other computer will play the chosen song and also recognize all playlists from the phone app.

- Problem solved! Worked for me.
