NUS Extra discount - second year?

Hello all. I signed up to receive the NUS Extra 50% discount this time last year, which was brilliant. I'm trying to renew this but it keeps telling me I have an invalid code, I've read various other posts on here from people unable to get codes to work but none of the solutions suggested have worked for me so i'm wondering if you can only do it for a maximum of 12 months? Or should I be able to get the discount for a second year?

The NUS discount is only available for a maximum of 12 months as outlined in the offer terms.

I would suggest you get in touch with customer services here and ask them is there anything they can do for you. Be sure to let me know, my NUS is going to run out soon too haha!

Thanks very much Peter, that's what I suspected but I'll give customer services a go and see what they come up with (if anything!). I'll let you know how I get on!

I just had the same proble, shame. I got a bit of shock when I just got billed the full price and haven't been able to register my new card. I guess I should have read the small print as it was a big factor in my buying an NUS card, but it does seem clear. As there are now many more alternatives to spotify out there I will have to see if the premium account is still worth it. £120 per year is a lot of money.

Did you try adding your new card number after your subscription went back to full price?

Heard mixed reports of it working for some people!

Yes, I just got notification from paypal.

I entered my new card and then got taken a page which states that I have a premium account at £9.99. Whatever I try and do now just takes me around in circles and I can;t seem to find the page where you enter your NUS card number. Whenever I follow the link from either spotify or NUS I just get taken my account page.

Guess all I can do now is wait and see what happens next month.

Or set up a new account and migrate all my playlists which could be a very long process!

@becs - your NUS card details are added fine so future payments will be at the £4.99 rate. You did pay £9.99 for a subscription while trying to get things sorted out, so get in touch with one of our payments team here and they might be able to sort you out a refund or an extra month of Premium to make up the difference.

Hey,

I've attempted to set up this year's NUS card to get the discount however it says I cannot apply more than one discount to my account. I am currently paying full price for Premium, does it mean that you can only have a maximum of 12 months discount, not 12 months for every year you buy NUS?

I was under the impression that for each year of NUS I bought I had a maximum of one year discount, is that not right?
