Can I start Spotify in Korea?

Hello. I'm a Korean citizen, and I've been waiting for ages for Spotify to arrive here, but Spotify doesn't seem to have any plans to.

I wonder if there is any way I can use Spotify here, even if I have to go premium. I really don't prefer proxies and VPNs... but if I have to I am wiling to consider those options. Or can I join Spotify (premium)outside Korea and use it here?

Hi, and welcome to the community!

If you want to and you have a card from another country, you can. You can do it by subscribing to premium with your card from another country, but also making sure the country in your Spotify profile is set to the country of your card.

This should mean you can access Spotify in Korea, but the catalogue will be from the country in your Profile.

Hi, what happened to Spotify and access in Korea???? I am a military serviceman and I ALWAYS use spotify...my membership was still good and all the sudden the ofline services were no longer made available to me. How can we fix this?

I have spotify premium and it still doesn't work here in germany. I have to get a german bank account? the banks on base are american.

Hi. Premium should work in any country without restriction. What device are you using and what does it say under "Subscription Status" on this page?

Spotify has announced that it will be coming to South Korea in the first half of 2021
