Accidentally redeemed subscription code

I was gifted a year of Spotify but am already a paying subscriber.

Because Spotify does not offer any kind of family plan, I wanted to set my partner up with the subscription so that we can both use Spotify at the same time without interrupting each other.

I was going to setup the subscription for him. I clicked on the link my friend sent us and the code was automatically added to my account! (I guess I was already logged in on this browser in the background).

How do I get this un-done? I don't want the extra year of Spotify added to my account. I want to give it to my partner instead.

I suggest you submit an online contact form and someone at Spotify will look into this for you. If you get an automated reply, make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply) and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.
