I have this same problem.. it happens randomly though, sometimes it comes up, sometimes it just keeps loading endlessly.

I started to question if it was something with this... .net thing from Microsoft, needing a special version. I had a similiar problem though then it just errored out and installing .net framework helped.

I'm not sure if it will fix it, but perhaps it would.. or it's just a Spotify problem.

If we're talking about the activity bar, I've had this happening since I joined 9 months ago. It comes and goes and, usually, quitting the client and restarting a couple of times kicks it back into gear.
