Spotify is not connecting

My Spotify is not working. It stopped about an hour ago or so. I cant logon or play anything.

Hello, @cellfreak! The same happened here. I guess it's something with the servers. I think Spotify are aware and working on a fix.

Edit:
I'll see if I can get more info for us.

As a temporary solution I suggest using the web player. You'll love it! 🙂

Me either.
spoken with many people and they cant login / play songs. Many ppl have problems.

I'm able to listen to stuff I have on playlists, but I can't browse or use Discover or see my feed.

Offline Mode - Unable to go online.

While listening, suddenly spotify go offline. Some error (maybe 404). After numerous log out - log in, try reboot - > nothing, still offline. What to do ? Is this something to do with web page containing that album I'm playing ? Using: Vista, Spotify version 0.9.4.169.gc0399df6, Premium user.

We're sorry to hear that some of your are having some trouble connecting. The team are looking into this as we speak, please bear with us.

As @Thedev suggested, our web player should make sure that you aren't without music whilst this issue is being investigated 🙂

Not to sound offensive or anything, but the web player is absolute crap. Not only does it load incredibly slow compared to other players, but there are no keyboard/mouse shortcut support (like f8 for pause).

Edit: Seems to be back online.

I to have this problem. It started yesterday while suddenly after a track the playlist stopped playing. No track would play and there was no error messages. Then I closed the app and restarted it. After which it got stuck saying "connecting" and it did not connect. I waited untill today (the day after) and the music was availible again, until now, when the same thing happened again. The app stays at connecting

@rch3r - It does appear Spotify are working on a service issue, keep an eye on SpotifyStatus for updates.

and Spotify is down again. No offence but I see no reason to pay for something what is not working and for the last 3 days I am unable to use it! You should give us money back for all this time we cant use the service.

You can't really expect a service to have a 100% uptime, and Spotify probably had like 2-3 hours total daytime the last three days.

That's about 3 out of 8765 hours.
