The form had an error and would only allow me to use the first drop down menu

Ah sorry - having a bit of a slow evening tonight!

Try using this one instead and reply directly to the automated email reply when you get it and that will push your case to an advisor.

I want to delete my account. I've just cancelled my premium membership and I'm infuriated that I can't even delete the darn account. For personal reasons, I'm not going to be using facebook anymore and had deactivated the account. I had to reactivate it just so I could log in to Spotify. There's apparently no simple way to change the way I log in from via facebook to using a username or email address. This is ridiculous. The app itself is great and I was really enjoying it, but the dependence on facebook is completely horrible. I want this account gone and its disturbing that Spotify has made it an ordeal to do so.

@fiver5r Everything is possible but some things are morre difficult than others. If you get in touch with th account team using the online contact form and explain exactly what you need, they will make it happen. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community or to the help pages, make sure to reply to it directly to speed things along.

I could not agree more, been trying since August to remove my account.

Hi there,

I do enjoy spotify, it is immensely useful, but I can't help that feel if these particular creators hadn't made this service, somebody would inevitably have made another much like it, and that therefore the management should design the creation and deletion of accounts with a less, ahem, entitled attitude toward our subscribership. Anyway, seeing as we are all in a similar situation here, I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts on or recommendations for anti-anxiety medications to cope with this ordeal? I'm going to visit my physician this week and I was hoping to arrive informed.

I've tried using the contact form as well as contact us but I still can't figure out how to delete my account. I want to make a different account...help!

Hey @lunablackswolf -

Have you found a bright green button that says "I still need help" while you go through the form ? That should take you to the form to ask directly to delete your Spotify account 🙂 If that didn't work, try using this link. When using the form, remember to answer to the automated email you'll receive even if it's a no-reply!
