My answer would go towards no (I think it doesn't have a built-in voice output), but tagging a couple of folks like @MattSuda and @Keanu_C who'd be able to check theirs and say for sure 🙂

The built in microphones in the Car Thing device are only for use with the "Hey Spotify" voice assistant listed here:

I don't think it's set up for that function but I could see how that would be useful. even though I really am annoyed with how everything these days must interrupt what you're doing by ducking the audio to the point of investing in separate devices.
