Dear Spotify

One of my favourite features of spotify is the new release radar on Fridays; I love coming home on a Friday and seeing what has been selected for me; often this feature leads me to great new bands and artists who I've never before heard of.... However, can anyone tell me: why are nearly a quarter (sometimes up to over a third) of the artists on my new release radar playlists piano ballads by Chinese singers? I can't think of anything I have dowloaded or listened to on Spotify that would cause the computer system to fill my playlist with quite so many of this type of artist. I don't have anything against these songs or singers but they do overbalance the playlist a bit and don't seem to reflect the choices I am making during the week. Not a problem as such - just wondering why the system works so poorly.

Hey @Jo128, thanks for writing.

I have the same feeling about Release Radar. It's a great feature but sometimes the songs just have nothing to do with our listening habits.

So I suggested this idea and I think you might be interested.
