Album Missing Music?

I've a question. I've noticed that occasionally there is an album that has some songs missing. The artist has tons of music on spotify, and most of their albums, but are missing some songs. Is this a technical glitch or are some albums only partially present due to legal/other reasons beyond Spotify's control?

Incidentally, the one I'm currently looking for is:

Artist: Inkubus Sukkubus

Album: Vampyre Erotica

Song: Hellfire

Several songs from the album are present, others are missing.

PS: I'll also say for the record the music catalogue is amazing. So much of the music I listen to is nigh impossible to find here in the states so I definitely appreciate the depth and breadth of music available!

Are there plans to add the ability to make purchases of music through Spotify? I came over from Groove and miss the ability to purchase music I enjoy.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Spotify likely does not have permission from the artist / record label for that song to be available. Spotify uploads the album directly how it is sent to them by the artist and music label.

Usually songs will still be released along with the album, but the song will be greyed out and unavailable to play. It seems this artist has chosen to release the album, but without the song even there entirely.

You can make it so that unavailable songs will still be shown in your playlists/albums so you can keep track of them, but they will be greyed out and unplayable. Make sure to go in settings and check for the setting that shows unavailable songs.

Unfortunately Spotify does not have music downloads, and there is currently no plans to add this feature at this time.
