Reporting a user for false plays

Hello, I am wondering what the process is to report a user for generating fake plays for songs?

Essentially what happened is that my college has a midi lab with several (~20) computers. A student has come in and set up playlists on different accounts, opening the spotify application and spotify in a web browser to constantly play his song on each of those computers, generating between 30-40 plays every few minutes. The user has gotten about 90000 views over the last few weeks, with 30000 of them over the past week. I know that this is a student at this college, I have his username, the song in question, and know who the person is.

What concerns me more is upon opening the computer sometimes I have seen songs cycling through extremely quickly (several songs per second). I'm not sure if this person has set up a bot that gets plays faster than should be possible or not, but there is that.

Basically I don't want to see my school to get in legal trouble for this person scamming money from Spotify using school computers.

I can send screenshots of this person's profile, pictures of the fake accounts on the computers at my school, whatever is needed.

I guess the first question is; How is this affecting you, exactly? Spotify algorithms cannot differentiate plays from listeners to bots. It seems you might have an issue with said person directly. We would suggest trying to communicate with your college peer, as Spotify will not hold your college liable for the decisions of a young college student. Spotify pays out roughly 0.0001c per play, likely due to the ability to gain listens as listed.

No problem @Maxim, the username is Lil Brain. His song, Skrt, is the one I have seen issues with, and Like Oou is also on the playlist.

@Anonymousbr0 Again, my only concern is legal action against the school, particularly involving a lab that I use quiet frequently. I have no personal issue with this person, and Spotify is welcome to do with this information whatever they see fit.

I noticed one of my tracks has gotten over 1000 streams from only 1 user. I found this out by going into my Spotify for artists account. I removed the track from Spotify completely and re copyrighted. Got it sent to Spotify a second time but they never removed the plays. I want the plays to be reset to 0
