Creating an artist profile without signing to a label/distributor

Hello. I'd like to create an artist profile to post my music and to access to Spotify for Artists. But, I don't want to sign to a label/distributor, and I even don't have money to sign into a label/distributor. So, it's possible to create an artist profile without going through a third party company?

(Sorry for my bad English, I also had to use a translation website)

Why is it impossible for independent artists to exist in Spotify for Artists without any label/distributor ?
