i was planning on deleting my facebook account, so when it was processing, i realised my spotify username turned into random words and numbers. After finding out that it was linked to facebook, i quickly retrieved it before it was the confirmation date of the deletion. Though I have retrieved it, the numbers and words remain the same. Please tell me what i should do to in order to change back to my username!!

thanks for reaching out to the community !

When a user decides to create his Spotify account via Facebook, the accounts info are linked together.

Therefore, any changes made on your Facebook account effect your Spotify account directly - in this case diactivating the account or deleting it.

In order to recreate this connection, please follow these steps:

- Visit your account overview page at Spotify.com

- Scroll and find the "Privacy" tab on the left menu

- Make sure that the "Process my FB data" is on

Note: in case it isn't, untap it and check it back on to "shake" things up and give it 24-48hrs for changes to apply.
