Spotify player is different

My Spotify player doesn’t have options such as shuffle , sleep. It says ‘SPOTIFY NEW MUSIC AND PODCASTS’ on AppStore not ‘Spotify: Discover new music’. I tried reinstalling a few times but it still didn’t work.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

Do all playlists, including ones you've made have the same Now playing view as on the screenshot? Keep in mind that some playlists like Discover Weekly and the Daily Mixes have the heart and Don't play this there so you can tune the algorithm. Other options like the Sleep timer and Shuffle are still accessible via the three dot menu in the upper-right corner.

If you'd like to propose a change to how the Now playing view is structured, we recommend you post an idea about it on our Exchange. That way other user can add their support.

All of my playlists have the same now playing view.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Are the Shuffle and Sleep Timer options accessible via the three-dot menu? Could you share a screenshot of it and of the Now playing view of your Liked Songs playlist?

You also mention that you reinstalled the app, did you use these steps for a clean reinstall? They are very thorough and make sure no leftover files remain.

It would also help us investigate this further if you share the make, model, OS version and exact Spotify version on the devices you're experiencing this on, as well as your subscription type.
