Thanks for getting in touch about this.

We can confirm that the option to manage Autoplay has been released for the desktop app. You just need to install the latest version and you'll find it by heading over to Settings > Autoplay > Autoplay similar songs when your music ends on other devices and this will apply globally for connected devices and the web player. This toggle will persist also when using a connected device via mobile.

Plan

Premium

Country

USA

Device

MacBook Pro 2021

Operating System

MacOS Big Sur

My Question or Issue

How can I disable the new autoplay feature for albums? Up until several weeks ago the Autoplay toggle in Settings controlled this behavior, now even with the toggle is in off position albums transition to some random playlist after they end.

Honestly if this is the new normal - it's the last drop for me. I am going to switch to Apple Music and cancel my Spotify Premium Family plan. Albums where not created by musicians to be mixed with other random tracks, Spotify again is both disrespecting creators and trying to change how we listen to music. When an album is over - IT'S OVER, I don't want to hear an unexpected track from another musician.

Hey there @user-removed,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Could you let us know if this happens when you're using the Connect feature or if it also happens when you're streaming directly on your PC/phone?

On another note, would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version of your device?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Same problem here. If playing on Smartphone (Android) Autoplay is disabled, if switching to Connect (on Yamaha MusicCast) the playlist gets filled with silly random stuff...
