&lt;P&gt;This issue should be fixed in Spotify version 1.1.76 for the Desktop app.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You can check your Spotify version like described &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/How-can-I-check-which-version-of-the-app-I-m-running/ta-p/4979337" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;. If you're running a past version, try updating&amp;nbsp;your app.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Hi Alex,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the response. This was happening in 1.1.76. If the artist doesn't have a background picture, the album art does not shrink, and remains large – and blurry.</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Spotify is set up to use the artist banner&amp;nbsp;image in the background&amp;nbsp;when set to full screen, as well as the album cover in a smaller resolution. In case an artist banner isn't&amp;nbsp;available, the album cover will be stretched to a slightly higher resolution for compatibility reasons. This may cause the artwork to appear slightly distorted or blurred at times.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
As of right now, there aren't any immediate plans to change this, but it's possible&amp;nbsp;in the future, so rest assured&amp;nbsp;we'll share any new information on the matter once we have it.&lt;/P&gt;
