I'm afraid I don't understand.

If Spotify advertises an album as "Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells III", Mike Oldfield, 1998, showing the original cover https://open.spotify.com/album/3DSrfmHKb8WWgrX1Mvsx6K how can it be that Spotify plays different music as in this album? The same applies to the Pink Floyd album https://open.spotify.com/album/15Tc3f1XzDKLodDXDELISe

IMNSHO, Spotify shouldn't tell me to get the Album if it's a collection of other tracks.

Album tracks on Spotify different from CD / unjustified "deduplication"?

Hi all,
after a few hours testing Spotify, I have the impression that Spotify "albums" don't match the CD version. It seems, the tracks are from other albums, kind of a "deduplication", noticeable especially with crossfading tracks in the original.

Examples:
1. Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells III, track 3 "Jewel in the Crown", the Spotify version starts with birds chirping. My CD doesn't. BTW, the chirping doesn't match the end of track 2.
2. Pink Floyd "A Collection Of Great Dancehits", track 6 "Another Brick In The Wall" starts with some strange sound.
Besides, Dancehits track 1 starts and ends much (!) louder than the CD. And the transition between track 4 and 5 is wrong by several seconds (radio speaker).
What's wrong here?

Hey! Welcome to our community! Songs published on Spotify must be distributed by an aggregator at the request of the owners of the works. If you still haven't found the CD version, probably they haven't made this distribution yet. The ideal is to contact the artist's publisher, record label or official website suggesting these publications. I'm sorry I can't be of much help in this case, I hope the artist will soon publish the versions you like. A big hug and a great Wednesday!
