Hello:

There can be a number of reasons of how this has happened. The Spotify service does an auto linking with other content of the same or similar named tracks from that artist's content page. The newer desktop apps for example have been doing a tab bit better of trying to auto link to the exact song name from an original release, but when the track from an original release can not be found, sometimes the Spotify service resorts to auto linking on the artist's best of compilations, and other multiple artist compilation releases to try and fill in for the missing tracks, sometimes this works out sometimes it does not work out all that well. You can always double check the artist page and see if the original release has not just been updated to a slightly different release from the original release, i.e. like a deluxe, or a re-release with bonus tracks version?

This isn't a problem really, but I had stopped using spotify for a while and decided to come back. When I did however I notcied that some of the songs in my playlists have changed. 2 of them for sure are very different. It isn't very bothersome, I was just curious as to why this might happen even though the title, album, and artist remain unchanged. I haven't found this irregularity when I searched the forum either.
