Track linking then taking down original song

As the title suggest, I was wondering if I could track link a remastered version of a song and then take down the original version. Will the streams stay on the linked track? Or will they reset? Just curious since the original version sounds pretty quiet (was, and still am, bad at mastering) and I would like to replace it.

It's best you direct all your questions directly to the artist support team here. They'll be able to give you more accurate info about transferring stream counts and uploading new remastered versions of a song.
