Music listened to during Jams not showing in Listening History

I've been listening to a lot of music on Jams with friends lately and I noticed that anything I listen to on there does not show up in Listening History, recently played on my phone or stats.

I was wondering if these songs still get stored by Spotify count for our listening time/minutes streamed, if not please fix this!

Hey @aliza2120,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

You don't have to worry about it. Same as the previous "Group session" feature, each stream will count individually per account, so your listening time will still be counted 🙂

Keep also in mind that recommended tracks played in a Jam are not included in your Recently played section or your account's streaming history.

Hi, I'm having a similar issue where my friend and I created a jam yesterday, we played a playlist that I had created, and then allowed Spotify it play recommended songs when the playlist was over. Today. neither of us can see the recommended songs in our Listening History (we both only see the songs from the playlist). This is very disappointing as many of these recommended songs were very good and I would like to add them to my playlist. Is there anything to do about this? Thank you!

Indeed, recommended tracks played in a Jam are not included in your Recently played section or your account's streaming history so unfortunately, there's no way to check what's been autoplayed in that session.

What about the algorithm? If I’m the host of the jam and people add songs, do these influence my future recommendations and somehow spoil my algorithm?

Hello! I was wondering why the listening history does not come up for me or my friend from our Jam? Sadly I had not added the songs to my playlist and now I have forgotten them!! Please let me know!

Hi Oscar,

Your response was incomplete and didn't address the issue of songs played during a jam showing up in listening history. Because I was driving and my friend added songs to my jam, I would like to be able to see them now and play them again. How do I see that song list?

Why don't songs listened to in a jam count in streaming history? This seems like an oversight because we are listening to them. I want to see the data for it but I can't because it doesn't count.

It’s 2026 and this is still happening. How can there not be history for a song playing on my device? Even if I start the jam, there’s no history on anyone’s device.
