Playback of an album or playlist is not working properly. You select a song, and when that song finishes playback jumps to other song from other album or playlist.

Same here. Happens when re-starting playback after a break. If this is a new intended behavior, please add an option to disable it.

Hey there @NiC772,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

You should be able to listen to an album until the end without other songs interrupting it.

In this case, we suggest that you check the queue first to see if there are other songs there ready to play. If so, you can remove them by tapping on Clear queue or remove them one by one.

If this doesn't do the trick, we recommend that you follow these steps:

Log in to your account page and scroll all the way to the bottom > Security and privacy.
Select Sign out everywhere.
Request a password reset by visiting this article.

Spotify keeps changing playlist on startup

My Question or Issue

About every second or third start of spotify on my phone, the played song changes to recommended songs instead of going on with the last listened playlist.
After a change to a playlist i really want to listen to, the second song of the now chosen playlist starts at a higher time. This time appears to be the timestamp of the last played song when i closed spotify or stopped listening.
I already tried reinstalling the app, i already disabled the option to add similar songs at the end of a playlist and as far as i know i disabled every option which allows spotify to change my playlists.
This behaviour is consistently reproducable for me.

This Topic is something completely different to my issue.
If i dont close Spotify the chosen Playlist plays without any addition as it is supposed to work.
And only if i start spotify it changes the played song to something i would not listen to voluntarily

Could you let us know if you're still experiencing this? If so, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

On another note, we'd like to know if this happens across devices or only on a specific one. Also, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your affected devices would come in handy.

We'll be on the lookout.

I tried it on an emulator on my pc just now, and the behaviour is reproducable on it.

As in my original post said, i use a Google Pixel 7a with the Android version 14. The Spotify Version on my phone is 8.9.22.539.

As the issue you're describing and that's visible on the video seems different than the shared details from the other users here, we suggest creating a separate thread in the relevant Help board so we can continue the investigation there. It'd be great if you could add the info there.

I want to listen to all the songs in an album but it jumps to other playlist, it wasn't behaving like that. Its not shuffling in the same album, it jumps to a different playlist
