I don't interact with it, I've never followed this person (I actually blocked this person), they do not follow me. I've tried signing out, signing in, updating the app, simply ignoring it for 2+ months, and yet week after week, this same Discover Weekly playlist made for another person is served up on my landing page right next to my Discover Weekly playlist. I've also tried the "sign out everywhere" feature, and it still persists across every device I own. How do I get this random person's playlist off my landing page?

Hey @MichaelGersten,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

The items on the Home screen updates automatically, which is why they can't be removed manually from there. If you, for example, received a link to their Discover Weekly and opened it at some point, it's possible that it will appear on your Home screen. Your personal Discover Weekly shouldn't be affected by this, however, what you could try in this case is to:

Open the Spotify app on your mobile.

Open the Discover Weekly playlist that has their name on it.

Click the 3-dot menu.

Scroll down and select Exclude from taste Profile.

With time, this should remove the recommendation from the Home screen. Just make sure to listen to other playlists as well - for example from your own Made For You section, or playlists that you've created yourself.

Hope this clears things up!

I have same problem, it occurs time to time and it is every time some random user. This is kind of disturbing because if I see someone else's Discover weekly it means someone sees mine?

Hey @outiannina,

No need to worry! Your Discover Weekly playlist will be visible to others only if you send them a link to it or if you make the playlist visible on your profile. With this in mind, if you happen to spot anyone else's Discover Weekly playlist open when you're not specifically trying to open it, we'd like to ask you to send us a screenshot of it and let us know how it has happened so that we can investigate further in case there's anything wrong going on 🙂

We're here for you if there's anything else in the meantime. Many thanks!

I have something similar; I have the Spotify desktop app and my family shares my Windows desktop. But if they log me out of Spotify and login to Spotify with their own Spotify account there are all sorts of 'cross contamination' issues including their 'Discover Weekly' showing a playlist created for me instead of them, as well as their home page showing recently played items that my account played, not theirs, etc. Worst case this is a major security/privacy flaw

Hey @jimd1,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the thread.

To investigate this behavior further, would you mind confirming if you've already performed a clean reinstall of the app on your desktop? If not, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article. This step is frequently ignored, yet it offers more depth than a regular one and can be helpful in eliminating any cache that may be causing issues.

If the issue persists, let us know the following info:

- Your device info (make/model) and OS version

- Exact Spotify version

Lastly, since we couldn't replicate this behavior, would you mind including some screenshots in your next response where we can take a better look?

We'll be on the lookout.
