Hey @MissEvil,

Thanks for reaching out!

The hour limit for Audiobook listening applies only to the Audiobook format which is still not rolled out in your country at this time.
And as for the content being greyed out - it's possible that the Audiobooks included in playlists/ albums are gradually being removed from the platform in order to be re-added as a part of the Audiobooks catalogue.

You can try removing your app's cached data as shown here to see if that would make a difference but in case it doesn't - the contents has most likely been moved.

Hope this helps!

P.S. Keep in mind that removing the app's cached data will temporarily remove your offline content. It will redownload the next time you open the app.

Plan

Premium

Country

Germany

Device

all

Operating System

iOS, Windows 10, Android

My Question or Issue

Hello,

I'm very confused about books and hope that someone can answer my questions. In Germany, the audio book feature isn't available yet, but there are lots of regular albums, containing books.

So I started with Book A a few weeks ago and marked then Book B and C as future potentials, and eventually started book B.

When I finished book B, book A and C were greyed out. I remembered that I've read about some hour limitations, so I came back in my next subscription month.

Books A, B, C were still disabled, but a lot others were available, so I went for a playlist with a trilogy in it (D1, D2, D3) and read D1, which only has 6 hours of playtime.

After that, A, B, C, D1-3 were disabled, but a lot of other books were still available.

I'm not even complaining that I can't hear all the books for free, but I would like to understand the rules. It's not about listening hours, that's all I can understand from that. Do you have an explanation or an idea?

You seem to be right. Especially the English bestsellers are now deleted and the playlist says something like "no longer available".

And books d2 and 3 are now available on my phone, so cache sounds also valid.

Thank you, looks like I really just got caught in the middle of the migration process.
