So you are saying that YouTube Music is able to gain access to these tracks but Spotify can't?

I am making my page a destination related to a book I am writing. There are several historically significant versions of songs that are missing. The most egregious is "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby" by Rex Griffin (1936). There is a page dedicated to Rex Griffin that even mentions the importance of the song, but the track itself cannot be found on the site. There are so far about five other examples where I have found the track on YouTube Music but it's not on this site. Is there someone I can discuss this with?

Plan

Free/Premium

Country

Device

(iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy 9, Macbook Pro late 2016)

Operating System

(iOS 10, Android Oreo, Windows 10,etc.)

My Question or Issue

Hey @ANewAmericanSongbag, thanks for asking in the Community! 🎵

The availability of content on platforms like Spotify depends on various factors like licensing deals. The copyright owner can decide to restrict their content in certain regions or take it down. In such cases there is not much Spotify can do. Once the licensing deals are back in place you will be able to find the songs in-app easily.

However, you can try to find the songs on Spotify using another account and on another device. This will confirm the unavailability of the content.

You can also check out this article for more info: Missing Content

I hope that makes things clear. Let me know if you need help with anything else. 🙂
