I'm getting increasingly tired of listening to 20yo songs being remade into a new-year-beat. Objectivity aside, I don't like the songs and I've been hearing them for 20+ years now. Redoing them in any capacity doesn't make them new or fresh, it just resurfaces age-old hit songs for seconds of online fame to creators.

What I would love to have and I think Spotify has a capacity to do, is to filter or flag out songs that are remakes of songs already present on the platform and let me to choose whether I want to see such songs or not.

Listening for 300k minutes a year makes you super tired of hearing such songs and you'll strive for new talent and fresh songs you can truly vibe with. There are thousands of fresh and talented artists but are being constantly shadowed by copycats, making it hard for them to succeed and for you to find them.
