Plan

Premium

Country

Italy

Device

Laptop ASUS Vivobook / Xiaomi 13T

Operating System

Windows 11 / Android 14

My Question or Issue

At the moment, January 1st 2025, the following tracks from Pink Floyd are not available (i.e. "greyed out") on both my pc app and my mobile phone app:

"Atom Heart Mother Suite - 2011 Remaster";

"Dogs - 2011 Remaster"

"The Happiest Days Of Our Lives - 2011 Remastered"

"Side 3, Pt. 5: Autumn '68"

I'm aware that exist some different versions of some of the unavailable tracks, but I'd like to listen to the remastered version.

I've tried uninstalling the app, but nothing was fixed.

Finally, the main question is: are these problems likely to endure or are they temporary; are these problems relative to my account, to my devices or to licensing rights between artists and platform? Regarding this option: are these problems relative to my region (Italy / EU)?

Hi there @SimoneValigi,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to look into this for you.

We tested this on our end and the same tracks are also unavailable, so this is definitely a matter of availability. Spotify would like to make all the world's music available, but this availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders.

On the other hand, new content is added to Spotify every day. If you can’t find something you’re looking for now, it may appear (or reappear) soon.

Hope this clears things up.

On the other hand, new content is added to Spotify every day.

Wow, it feels quite disrespectful when you try to put a positive spin on the disappearing of content of my favorite band.
This is also a pretty uncaring answer. The caring way to answer would be to give us details about the licensing, and if we should be afraid that more Pink Floyd content is going to disappear. When are the other licenses running out and do they plan to renew them?
