Fake podcasts used to circumvent copyright

There are some people who use Spotify podcasts to upload copyrighted content. One example is this: https://open.spotify.com/show/24VRhlWUqjrGacX4zjfk3R

You'll see that the first 5 "episodes" listed are actually songs, and you can bet that they do not have the rights to those songs. They're simply using podcasts as a way to get copyrighted music they do not own onto the Spotify platform. I had reported one of those "episodes" like a month ago and the rep said they would forward my report to the department in charge of content, but nothing has been done and the "episode" is still available.

Spotify needs to do better to prevent users from using their system like this.

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about this. Since you said you've already reported this through our colleagues in the support team, then everything necessary has already been done. These reports are always looked into and appropriate action is taken, but be advised that these things can take some time depending on how much backlog still needs to be processed. So rest assured, forwarded reports about content will be addressed, but it's not possible to give any specific ETA on when this will happen.

its not because they want. to earn money off of it they just want to listen to songs they want without paying amounts of money for premium. its smart
