How do I get Crossfade?

My Question or Issue

I have been trying to get crossfade on so I asked the internet and tried but for some reason on my settings, I don't have a Playback setting in my settings for some reason and I don't understand why and I can't find a reason why I don't.

You can check out this article to see how you can use Crossfade. However, since you mentioned you're on Chromebook, this most likely means that you're using the web player, as there isn't a native Chromebook app. The aforementioned settings aren't available on web player unfortunately, so that explains why you don't see them. You can try installing the Android app instead, which is another possibility on Chromebook. There, you should be able to find Crossfade as shown in the "Mobile" section in the article.

Can't you add crossfade to The web player? If you can't, why?

Thanks for joining the thread.

The Web Player is a generally lighter version of Spotify which focuses on the essentials like playing content and managing your library. Some features like crossfade or the equalizer aren't available there yet due to technical limitations, so in order to get the most out of Spotify we'd recommend downloading the desktop app instead, if possible.

The Community is always here if something else comes up.
