My Question or Issue

Hi, I am a big fan of Discover Weekly and it is the main reason not to switch over to streaming services with better sound quality. My latest DW however is filled with Asian titles and Artist names that I can not even read. All pretty bad music for my taste. I suspect Korean, Vietnamese and other languages. The few English titles are mostly in the new age sounds which I really never listen to and don’t like at all. Anybody any idea why this happened and what can be done about it?

Can you let me know if anything else about your account is different, like new playlists or songs in Your Library?

Just in case, if you think someone else has gained access to your Spotify account, I'd recommend you have a password reset and log out from all devices here.

I'd also recommend you follow these steps to protect your account to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

HI Jose, thanks for replying. Nothing else seems strange. My liked numbers and albums are the same. I also checked recently played and only the songs I played are in there. I figure if somebody else has hacked my account and is using it, I would expect other songs in there. I have changed my password this morning. And after reading your message I have withdrawn all third party permissions. What I find a little bit odd, is after changing the password on my desktop, after logging out and switching off the device my iPhone and iPads did not ask to enter the new password. I don't know where mobile devices get their permission from. Anyway I hope Monday I will get a normal DW. Thanks!

I'm glad you were able to perform all the steps to make sure your account is safe. Hopefully next week you get more accurate recommendations on your Discover Weekly playlist. I suggest you keep listening to all of your favorite tunes so you're recommended music similar to the music you like.

On another note, keep in mind that anything you listen to in a private session may not influence your music recommendations.
