Suspicious Playlists

Hi,

Three of my songs have recently and repeatedly been added to playlists I never submitted to that clearly demonstrate suspicious behavior. From my research it has been reported by many users that both playlists are fake or fraudulent. The playlist providers in question are 'WAVR.AI' and 'ARTISTER'. When a song is added I very very quickly get a large number of plays from one location. Helsinki, Finland for 'WAVR.AI' and Menilla, Brazil for 'ARTISTER'. They even added a folk song of my to a supposed hip hop playlist. Which only emphasizes suspicion.

According to these providers websites these are pay to stream services, but I would never consider using this type of service and in fact think Spotify should ban any Spotify playlister attempting to capitalize from musicians in this way.

I have contacted by providers to request my music be removed immediately from their playlists, but want to know what options I have if they do not comply?

I am also interested to find out what Spotify is doing to clamp down on suspicious playlists.

These past few days I have felt like I am at war with these playlists as they keep adding my songs again and again, and have grown skeptical of every new play I get. I'm wasting time I could be organically and honestly promoting my music dealing with this instead and need it to stop. It makes me feel discouraged and disheartened as an artist, and makes me question my decision to release through Spotify. I do hope that you can offer some help.

I could not navigate contacting Spotify for artists. The site was glitchy and has a lot of frustrating broken links. Something I've noticed is not uncommon here. As of now I'm happy to report I've not been featured on anymore suspicious playlists. Some threads linked it to the Distrokids playlist, which I'd been on. Since ending my participation with Distrokid playlists it has stopped. Spotify still needs to do more to police these and reassure artists of there commitment to safety and fair use though.
