Discover weekly is broken since ages

My Question or Issue

Why is Discover Weekly still broken? I see recurring suggestions, including titles Ive disliked.
On top of that, I see ONLY content that is monotonous, the music I listen in Spotify is much more various, still Discover Weekly seems to be based on what I was listening 10 years ago.

It is extremely annoying.
PLus, I dont like a certain band, Im trying to dislike this band any single time something about them pops out, and still I systemically get this band suggested, i feel like they are making fun of me, really.
Notice multiple users reported a similar problem, so I would like to know if Spotify is trying to fix this.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

Bear in mind that disliking or hiding a song will only remove the song so you don't see it again, but you might get songs from the same artist if it's similar to your listening habits. If you dislike certain band and you don't want to see it again on your recommendations, you can ban the artist from their artist page. To do so, open their profile, select the 3 dots and hit the Ø icon. This will stop us from recommending the artist in the future.

Additionally, make sure you listen to more music while being online (not on offline mode) or from a Private session.

Now, Discover Weekly gives suggestions based on your listening history. If it hasn't been updated, or if you're not happy with the suggestions, just keep listening to more music you love and giving us feedback (liking songs, new artists and following new playlists). You can also try logging out and back in twice in a row from the devices you use the most to re-sync all the info.

My Question or Issue

Since few weeks the discover weekly popped a message saying I need to give my kind of music preferred, as I was driving I don't even know where I clicked.

Since then I have nothing relevant in my playlist that I was listening all the time.

I listen 98% of metal music and I don't have a single metal band in the playlist this week 😑

This was one of your main key features, what happened ? How do I reset that ?

Are you seriously going to say that the solution is to listen to music we like? This list worked excellently for many years, and for about two or three months now, it not only misses my musical tastes, but also recommends little-known or unknown artists with less than 10,000 monthly listens, many EPs or singles, and music between 2023 and 2025. What happened to music from previous decades? They clearly broke something in the algorithm, and now it stinks. I'm seriously considering exporting my music to another streaming platform. It sucks, or what have they done with Discover Weekly?

The exact thing happened to me, I was out running and this message popped up, I didn't have the attention to do it correctly. So idiotic that you just get one chance to set this up and be **bleep** forever. (Don't use your phone while driving though).
