Songs are grayed out in my playlist but are still available on the platform.

My Question or Issue

I have a very long playlist (1,338 songs) and recently noticed a handful of songs are grayed out. Some of them have actually been removed from the platform, but the majority are still available for streaming. If I go to the artist's profile, I can play the song from there just not from my playlist. I checked and there are no filters or restrictions that should prevent the songs from playing.

For example, both Wet and Nice Nice by Dazey and the Scouts are grayed out on my playlist but are still available on Spotify. I can play both songs when I go directly to Dazey and the Scouts' artist profile.

If I manually go through each song, I can add them back to my playlist but since this playlist is SO long, I'd prefer not to. I also like to keep the songs in the order I discovered them as a personal note.

What can I do to get the songs back on my playlist?

Songs could be grayed out on your playlist, yet available elsewhere, for different reasons. For instance, due to Local Files syncing errors. Just to confirm, have you imported the grayed out songs as Local Files from your device or you saved them directly from Spotify?

Another reason could be regional licensing restrictions, or a song's version mismatch (the version in your playlist is no longer available on Spotify, but a newer or different one exists).

Try logging out from your account then logging in twice to solve the syncing matter. Also, clearing cache and updating the app might help. Restarting your device may solve connectivity issues causing the glitch too.

Finally, try removing/re-adding a specific grayed out song to the playlist to check if it's a song's new version type of issue.
