Windows has recently got Spotify version 1.0.73. Snap package is stuck at 1.0.70...

Maybe the windows version contained some bugs that needed fixing and the linux version didn't contain these?

Note that Spotify for Linux is not officially supported and the team works on it in their free time, so we won't get updates on the same time as Windows and MAC.

You can contact Spotify cares and ask them for official Linux support.

We have had problems with offline playlists on Linux in 1.0.73 and later. It is going take a while to get out. I didn't want to push out a release to stable without fixing that. However, I have at least pushed 1.0.72 to stable today. It has been available in the candidate channel for a while.

If you want to get updates as soon as possible (and help discover problems like the offline playlists), you can track the candidate channel.
