Your device and operating system: Gentoo

Type of Spotify account you have (Free/ Premium): Premium

The app version of Spotify you’re using: 1.0.88-r1

Brief description of the issue: Spotify segfaults when I try to play anything

Steps to reproduce the issue: Try to play anything

As addition infos, I don't use pulseaudio. Spotify has no use flags enabled : Installed versions: 1.0.88-r1^ms(01:24:16 PM 08/27/2018)(-libnotify -pax_kernel -pulseaudio -systray)

It used to work perfectly fine with the previous version, so I assume something is broken in this new one.

I'm attaching the strace from advanced troobleshooting, I've had to zip it to make this forum accept it, sorry for the inconveniance.

I can confirm that there is something wrong with the alsa driver or the fallback code that first tries to see if pulseaudio is available.

I will try to delay pushing 1.0.88 from testing to stable until this can be fixed.
