      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey &lt;a href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/23708497"&gt;@MateusM&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Linux is not an officially supported platform for Spotify, the client is brought here by the Spotify developers, from their free time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since it's unofficial and done in free time, the updates are less frequent. This year it has updated twice so far.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Running a slightly older version of Spotify won't mean you're suspectible to some kind of security issues. It simply means you won't be getting new features and looks at the same time as people running Win/Mac do.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps, have a nice day : )&lt;/P&gt;</description>
