My Question or Issue

Hi Spotify-Team,

I just installed Spotify on Linux.

Deactivating Crossfade in settings does not have an effect.

It's even worse, I can't hear songs to the end and the next song is starting at about 10s to 1m30 after the beginning. The only way I can somehow use Spotify on Linux is to activate Crossfade and put it to 0 seconds. I found similar threads which are 5 years old.

THIS IS NOT SOLVED!!!

(only non-standard-settings very high quality)

Hey @Philipp4532

That's not the crossfade, it's another setting which is called Automix.
There is a switch to disable it on Windows and also in newer versions of clients on Ubuntu.

This is how the setting (lower one) is named like:

Note: I am on new UI version, but if I remember correctly it should be in the new (1.1.46 or so) clients with the regular UI as well.

In case you don't find the setting, this feature is only tied to certain playlists. You should be able to bypass this by queuing the tracks or pulling them into another playlist.
