This is also true for Ubuntu 23.10. libgconf is a non existing dependency, and therefore the spotify-client package can not be installed.

The recommendations for additional packages are also out of date.

Device

PC

Operating System

Debian GNU/Linux

My Question or Issue

The Linux client depends on libgconf-2-4, which is a dummy package in Debian stable and doesn't exist any longer in the Debian testing repository. It can be safely removed from dependencies.

https://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gconf.html

I use testing myself and I know how to work around dependencies of non-existing packages. Hence this is a bug report and not a call for help.
