It's funny, quite some time ago i was on archlinux and got this bug, which is typical from bleeding edge distros. Anyway, went back on LinuxMint, and was happy, until a few days ago. They took so much time without fixing this, that finally it hit the debian repos 😂. Now, only god knows how many years they'll take to fix it. If someone figures out what was the latest working version, please share , maybe we can downgrade and freeze it there

This fixed it for me on Linux Mint... for the time being:

sudo apt install spotify-client=1:1.2.63.394.g126b0d89

I don't have much hope for a fix for the new version, but let's hope.

Hi, I'm having a similar issue. But it only starts happening after I enable the 'Close button should minimize the Spotify window' setting.

Spotify : 1.2.82.428.g0ac8be2b (flathub)

With option : Preferences > Start and window behavior

enabled,

then : app does not stop when closing the window (as expected) nor reduce the window in system tray
